Getting StartedBehind the Design

The VANTABLACK Project

ProgressPrevious Designs & Inspired changes

The earlier direction of this project leaned heavily on a black-and-white, glossy, bold aesthetic. It looked professional and realistic, but it didn’t feel challenging enough. The references made the AI outputs cohesive, but they lacked creativity, personality, and flavor.
Stronger connection between black and white

Stronger Saturation Violent VibesFor my VANTABLACK project, that balance became the core. I wasn’t chasing aesthetic for its own sake—I wanted the feeling of a raw, unpolished world where textures bite back, where shadows feel alive, where the material itself carries a violent tension. Moriyama’s high-contrast monochrome taught me how to weaponize grain and darkness; Yeezus taught me how to inject rage, distortion, and industrial energy into something artistic.

What emerged is a design direction that treats leather not as a fashion material, but as a symbol of survival and rebellion. It’s scarred, imperfect, brutally honest. It’s cool because it refuses to be clean. It’s violent because it embraces friction. And that tension—the clash between elegance and aggression—is what gives the project its flavor, its identity, and its edge.

With help of Daido Moriyama’s aesthetic connects with my vision of this project.
