Description
UFC 300 stands as one of the most-watched sporting events in UFC history. Held in April 2024, it united elite fighters across divisions for a night that commemorated three decades and 300 numbered events of UFC’s evolution. More than just a pay-per-view, UFC 300 was a tribute to legends, a stage for reigning champions, and a glimpse into the future of mixed martial arts.
To mark the occasion, a custom typographic style was created—drawing inspiration from the iconic octagon itself—designed exclusively for this once-in-a-generation event. InformationDetailsTools

Getting StartedBehind the Design
Gold Colorway
The UFC 300 was designed to emphasize both the historic scale of the event and the identity of the UFC brand. The octagon-inspired typography (“300”) is a direct nod to the UFC’s iconic fighting stage, making the milestone number instantly recognizable and symbolic.
The gold gradient background conveys prestige, triumph, and championship legacy, while the lineup of fighters grounds the design in raw athleticism and anticipation. By combining bold geometry, cinematic fighter imagery, and clean branding, this design communicates power, heritage, and spectacle in one frame.

The earlier typographic design leaned heavily on a thick, bold aesthetic. While visually striking, it lacked harmony, compromised readability, and ultimately proved to be a weak choice for the final design. Feedback from my peers reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics with clarity. This guided me toward a cleaner, more refined direction—less chunky, more sophisticated, and ultimately easier to read.
